Woman dies in Lawrence County fire

A Beaver County woman is dead following an early morning fire in Lawrence County.
Officials said Vaughnie Sue Schwartz, 51, of 11th Street in Beaver Falls, died in the fire that occurred at 2140 Scott Wallace Road in Little Beaver Township, Lawrence County. The fire started around 4:55 a.m. Saturday. Donald Jurasko, 29, and Joseph Jurasko, 69, both of whom lived at the Scott Wallace Road home, were able to escape. Donald sustained moderate injuries, according to state police at New Castle. Charles Welsh, 32, who lived at 11th Street in Beaver Falls, escaped the home with no injuries, according to officials.
The state police fire marshal's office is investigating the cause of the fire, which authorities said appears to have been accidental.
