Just a day after Super Bowl XLVI, two Pittsburgh-area residents and two Floridians today filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court accusing the National Football League of selling them tickets for unfinished seats at last year's Super Bowl XLV.

Richard Pollock, of Beaver County, and Cheryl Pollock, of Allegheny County, said in the complaint that they bought tickets and got seat assignments to the championship contest between the Steelers and the Green Bay Packers, which was held in Arlington, Texas.

They did not know that their assigned seats were in temporary sections that were being hastily constructed for the game. The seats were ultimately left unoccupied because officials could not ensure their safety.

Upon arriving at Cowboys Stadium, they endured a full day of run-arounds before they were allowed to stand, with many other fans, in an area with obstructed views.

The other plaintiffs, Paul L. Kutcher and Cynthia P. Kutcher, allege similar experiences. Mr. Kutcher, an attorney in Brandon, Fla., filed the complaint.

The NFL made a series of offers to the several hundred fans who had to stand through Super Bowl XLV, from admission to a future Super Bowl to reimbursement of expenses up to $5,000.
