Tom Cruise will be coming to Pittsburgh to film Paramount Pictures' action thriller "One Shot," the Pittsburgh Film Office confirmed today.

Filming will take place in and around the city from early October through the end of the year, said Dawn Keezer of the Pittsburgh Film Office. Nancy Mosser Casting is seeking stand-ins, photo doubles and several thousand extras for the shoot, Ms. Mosser said.

"It's a great follow up to having 'The Dark Knight [Rises],'" Ms. Keezer said.

"The Dark Knight Rises" used thousands of extras for the film shoot, which included Downtown locations and Heinz Field, this summer.

Shooting for "One Shot" is scheduled for Oct. 3 through Jan. 13, according to a call for stand-ins from Mosser Casting. Among the parts it is casting, the company is seeking a "Caucasian male between 5'6.5-5'8 and under 180lbs. Brown hair." Mr. Cruise is 5 feet 7 inches.

Mosser Casting is also looking for "a Caucasian female between 5'8-5'9.5. Fair skin. Preferably blonde hair but willing to dye it if not."

"One Shot" is based on the 2005 Lee Child thriller of the same name about an ex-military investigator, Jack Reacher, who heads to the heartland to investigate the deaths of five people. Mr. Cruise is to play Reacher, with Rosamund Pike set to co-star.

Paramount is expected to release "One Shot" in February 2013.

The new poster for Mr. Cruise's next big release, "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol," appeared today on Yahoo! Movies. It shows the actor donning a hoodie in close-up, with columns of ghostly numbers over his face.

"Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol," the fourth film in the franchise, is due in theaters Dec. 21.

More details in tomorrow's Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
