The Allegheny County Sheriff's Department today arrested a man who had been on its "Most Wanted" list for failing to pay nearly $70,000 in child support payments.
Sheriff William P. Mullen said Keith Douthett, 49, had been sought on three bench warrants issued in April 2006 after he failed to appear for court hearings in the family division of Common Pleas Court.
At approximately 8:50 am today, investigators from the sheriff's office arrested Mr. Douthett in the 1100 block of South Avenue in Wilkinsburg.
Detectives had the area under surveillance for several days after receiving a tip through the sheriff's Web site. Mr. Douthett, who is being held in the county jail, is the fourth person apprehended from the "Most Wanted" list this week, the sheriff said.
