Sunday school teacher admits having sex with girl, 12

A former church teacher will spend at least three months in jail after pleading guilty to twice having sex with a 12-year-old girl before Sunday School at a church's property.
Twenty-year-old Thomas Law, of New Sewickley Township, could spend up to two years in jail and must register as a sex offender after Wednesday's sentencing by Beaver County Judge John McBride.
Mr. Law was 18 and still a Sunday school teacher at New Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church in Economy when the crimes occurred in August 2009.
Mr. Law's attorney Steve Colafella argued unsuccessfully for probation, saying Mr. Law was very young at the time and is still well-respected at the church.
