When the Super Bowl XLIII champion Pittsburgh Steelers make their trip to the White House Thursday, linebacker James Harrison won't be with them.

During the weekend Harrison, the NFL's defensive player of the year, told a television reporter that he wouldn't make the trip. His agent confirmed it today.

"No, he won't,'' said the agent, Bill Parise of Beaver County. "He didn't go the last time either. It absolutely is not political. He just doesn't want to go."

Harrison also skipped the Steelers' visit to the White House in 2006 following their victory in Super Bowl XL.
