Staal won't be suspended; Penguins call up Tangradi

Penguins center Jordan Staal is expected to be in the lineup tonight against the New York Islanders at Consol Energy Center after the NHL opted not to suspend him.
Staal received a match penalty Tuesday night during a game against the Rangers in New York. That calls for an automatic one-game suspension, but it also triggers a review by the league with the option of rescinding the suspension.
Also, the injury-depleted Penguins have recalled winger Eric Tangradi from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League.
Tangradi, 21, is a power forward and one of the club's most promising prospects. He opened the season with the Penguins, with a goal and an assist over nine games.
Tangradi, an AHL All-Star, is tied for the Wilkes-Barre lead with 18 goals and has 32 points in 42 games.
