Penguins center Jordan Staal, who has missed the past 15 games because of a torn medial collateral ligament in his left knee, will return to the lineup Saturday for an afternoon game against Winnipeg at Consol Energy Center.
"I'm feeling really good," Staal said today after practice. "The knee feels really strong."
Staal, 23, ranks third on the team with 15 goals and has 21 points in 34 games. Coach Dan Bylsma said Staal will skate primarily with wingers Matt Cooke and Pascal Dupuis, will be on the second power-play unit and will get significant ice time.
