Six people were arrested during an overnight prostitution bust in Cranberry.
Late last night and early this morning, undercover officers from Cranberry, Moon and Monroeville met with people who had advertised prostitution services online, Cranberry police said in a statement.
Arrested in the busts were Sherrie Cogley of Sarver; Danielle Tabb of Homestead; Nachell Coleman of Duquesne; Amber Bonnoni of Natrona Heights; Tara Wolfe of New Kensington; and Waylon Brown of Pittsburgh.
Cranberry police described the bust as a "proactive" effort to prevent prostitution from occurring in the area.
"While Cranberry Township does not see significant occurrences of prostitution, the location of major highways coupled with numerous hotels makes it an area where this type of activity is likely," according to the department's statement.
