A North Side man charged with sexually assaulting a teenager was in the Allegheny County Jail tonight after deputies spotted him in a Braddock home hours after he ditched his trial.

Derron A. Green, 29, was scheduled to go on trial Wednesday on charges of indecent assault, unlawful contact with a minor and corruption of a minor in connection with a July incident involving a 13-year-old.

Lt. Jack Kearney, with the Allegheny County sheriff's office, said Mr. Green arrived at the courthouse for his trial Wednesday, met with his lawyer and walked out before his trial began.

A judge issued a bench warrant for his arrest. After searching several homes in Pittsburgh and McKees Rocks, deputies tracked Mr. Green to a house on Center Street in Braddock, where he was arrested at about 11 p.m. Wednesday. Mr. Green will be held in the Allegheny County Jail without bond until his trial, Lt. Kearney said.
