A second man has been arrested on charges that he took part in a McKees Rocks home invasion in which a pair of gunmen stole grenades and an assault rifle.
Rodney Grant Jr., 22, surrendered to police Wednesday and was charged with theft, robbery, burglary, conspiracy and other crimes stemming from the Monday night incident at a home in the 400 block of Gardner Avenue. Police said Mr. Grant was one of two masked men who barged into the home and held a 25-year-old woman at gunpoint, demanding to know where her fiance's gun was.
Another man, Cameron Russell, 22, of Avalon, told Mr. Grant to pistol-whip the woman until she told him where the weapons were, McKees Rocks police Chief Robert Cifrulak said.
Mr. Russell was arrested in Franklin Park on Tuesday and charged with similar crimes. Police have not recovered the weapons, and the chief said they are still investigating whether their owner should face charges for possessing them.
