Robert Morris men's basketball coach Andy Toole has signed five players to the team's 2011 recruiting class -- including three players 6-foot-7 and taller -- the school announced Tuesday.

The class includes 6-2 guard David Appolon (Imhotep Charter, Philadelphia), 6-1 guard Brandon Herman (Charis Prep, Chattanooga, Tenn.), 6-7 forward Keith Armstrong (Fishburne Military Academy, Raleigh, N.C.), 6-9 forward/center Darren Washington (Gabriel Richards, Belleville, Mich.) and 6-8 forward Mike McFadden (Newark, N.J.).

McFadden, who will be a sophomore, is a transfer from Iona and will be eligible to play after the fall semester. Washington originally signed a letter of intent at Eastern Michigan.

In a news release, Toole said the new class will provide depth at the guard position and add much-needed bodies to the Colonials' frontcourt.
