Rally for Penguins set for Mellon Arena tomorrow

Allegheny County Executive Dan Onorato, Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl and the Penguins today announced a rally at Mellon Arena's outdoor screen at Gate 3 beginning at 5:15 p.m. tomorrow.

The Penguins mascot, Iceburgh, and face painters will be on hand. Outdoor concessions will be open for food and drink purchases. Grills, tents and alcohol are prohibited.

The officials declared tomorrow "Black & Gold Day," and they are encouraging fans to wear the team's colors.

The game will be shown on the outdoor screen beginning at 7 p.m.

The Penguins trail Washington, 2-0, in the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
