A Quaker Valley standout basketball player was arrested last week on charges that he sold marijuana to a confidential informant multiple times.
Sewickley police wrote in a criminal complaint that investigators watched as Jamal Gloster, 18, of Sewickley, sold marijuana to a confidential informant four times in February, March and April.
While searching his home, officers and special agents with the state attorney general's office said they found more than $400 in cash, scales, 12 grams of marijuana and paraphernalia, according to the complaint.
Police said Mr. Gloster told them he was selling marijuana to about 10 regulars "for extra money and to support his own habit."
Mr. Gloster was arrested on Friday and has since been released from the Allegheny County Jail. He could not immediately be reached for comment.
