Popular cupcake bakeries to close

The owners of Dozen Bakeshop announced today that they will close their two locations permanently.
The bakery, which specializes in cupcakes and other freshly prepared baked goods and lunch items, has locations in Oakland and Lawrenceville. A Downtown location recently closed.
The bakeries will hold a farewell bake sale tomorrow from 9 a.m. until noon. Customers who have ordered cupcakes for weddings and parties will be contacted to make other arrangements, according to a post on the bakery's Facebook page.
