Bethel Park police have called in the Allegheny County fire marshal's office to investigate an apparent firebombing early yesterday of a popular restaurant.
Bethel Park police Chief John Mackey said someone threw a bottle filled with an accelerant at Al's Cafe in the 400 block of McMurray Road sometime between 3 a.m. and 8 a.m. yesterday.
No one was injured, and the device caused only "minimal" damage to the front of the bar-restaurant, Chief Mackey said.
"We have a couple of leads we are working on," he said.
