Police have arrested a man suspected of robbing an Oakland bank Wednesday, warning tellers not to "freak out" before demanding their money.

John Lamonde, 53, of Carrick, is expected to be arraigned tonight on a count of robbery stemming from the heist at the First Niagara branch in the 3700 block of Fifth Avenue.

Tellers told police the robber told them, "Don't freak out, give me all your money," after he walked in just before noon. Police found a mask and a dye pack near the bank.

Allegheny County sheriff's deputy Sean Green today contacted city robbery detectives with information that led to Mr. Lamonde's arrest. He was being held at the county jail.
