Police look for teen struck in Mt. Lebanon hit-and-run

Mt. Lebanon police are asking the public to help them find a teenage girl who was hit by a car today and walked away from the scene of the crash.
Police said they want to make sure the girl did not suffer from serious injuries.
Police received a call at about 3:40 p.m. today for a report that a red Ford Escort LX struck a teenage girl at the intersection of Washington and Bower Hill roads, causing the girl to roll onto the hood of the car before falling to the ground.
Witnesses told police that they encouraged the girl to ask for medical treatment, but the girl walked away. The driver also left.
Police said the girl who was struck appeared to be 15 or 16 years old. She was about 5 feet 5 inches tall and wore skinny black jeans, a black sweater and a black knit hat.
Witnesses told police the driver was a white woman with dark hair who appeared to be in her mid-40s. Her car might have a license plate with the last four numbers of 6849.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Allegheny County 911 and ask to speak to a Mt. Lebanon police officer.
