Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre principal dancer retires

Erin Halloran, principal dancer with the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, is retiring after 20 years with company.
A Pittsburgh native, Ms. Halloran participated in the PBT's training program at Schenley High School, then joined the company under the direction of Patricia Wilde, who gave the dancer her first principal role at age 19, dancing the role of the Sugarplum Fairy in Balanchine's "Nutcracker."
She will continue to work as a teacher with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School.
