Pitt senior defensive end Greg Romeus left this morning's practice with an apparent ankle injury but it is not considered to be a serious injury. Romeus was carted back to the facility from the field and did not return to practice.
"He's fine," head coach Dave Wannstedt said. "He was just stiff, nothing serious. We're going to have some of that stuff. If we have any serious injuries, we'll talk about it but not bumps and bruises of camp."
Romeus is a preseason All-American candidate and was the Big East co-defensive player of the year.
In addition to Romeus, Andrew Taglianetti was also held out of practice due to "stiffness." Taglianetti is still recovering from knee surgery.
