Pitt recruit named to McDonald's All-American team

Khem Birch, a 6-foot-8, 210-pound power forward at Notre Dame Prep who will be enrolling at Pitt this summer, was named to the McDonald's All-American team today.

Birch is the sixth McDonald's All-American in school history and the second in three years. The others are Dante Taylor, Brian Shorter, Bobby Martin, Jerome Lane and Charles Smith.

The McDonald's All-American game showcases the top high school talent from around the country every year.
