Pitt assistant basketball coach Pat Skerry has accepted the head coaching position at Towson University and will be introduced at a news conference Tuesday, a source at Pitt confirmed today.
Skerry was an assistant on Jamie Dixon's staff for only one season, but he left his mark on the program by helping Dixon sign McDonald's All-American Khem Birch in November.
Before arriving at Pitt, Skerry was an assistant at Providence, Rhode Island, College of Charleston, William & Mary and Northeastern. He has previous head coaching experience at Curry College.
