Pens recall forward McDonald

The Penguins have recalled forward Colin McDonald from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League.

He leads the Baby Penguins with 28 points -- 20 of them assists -- in 33 games. He recently was named to the AHL All-Star Game scheduled for late this month.

It is unclear whether he will be in the lineup when the Penguins face the New York Rangers tonight at Consol Energy Center or whether he was promoted as insurance in the event a forward such as Pascal Dupuis (unspecified injury) or Steve Sullivan (illness) is unable to dress.
