The Penguins got some welcome and unexpected medical news today, as forwards James Neal (foot) and Craig Adams pronounced themselves ready to return to the lineup for tonight's game against Ottawa at Consol Energy Center.

Also, forward Dustin Jeffrey, who is recovering from a setback related to knee surgery last season, said he will be able to play against the Senators if the coaches want him to.

Neal's foot was broken when he blocked a Henrik Tallinder shot during the Penguins' 3-1 loss to New Jersey Saturday night, while Adams aggravated a knee injury during a collision in practice the next day.

Both participated in the team's game-day skate, then said they are ready to play tonight.

Defenseman Paul Martin, who missed practice Monday because of illness, did not skate this morning and his status for tonight's game is unknown.
