TORONTO -- Dany Sabourin is a surprise starter in goal for the Penguins' game against Toronto tonight at the Air Canada Centre.

Coach Michel Therrien opted to start Sabourin after using Marc-Andre Fleury in the first three games, during which the Penguins went 1-2.

It will be just Sabourin's 15th regular-season appearance in the NHL and his first game action since a 6-5 exhibition loss to Buffalo late last month.

"He hasn't played in a long time," Therrien said. "Your backup goalie, especially his first game, you want to play him on the road.

"He's been working hard in practice. I believe he's sharp. I believe it's time for him to get a game."

More details in tomorrow's Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
