The Penguins blew a two-goal lead and fell for the third time in as many games without All-Star center Sidney Crosby, 4-2, against the Boston Bruins tonight at Consol Energy Center.

Crosby has a concussion.

The Penguins outshot Boston, 14-6, in a scoreless first period.

Mike Rupp got the first goal of the game for a 1-0 Penguins lead at 11:39 of the second period. He carried the puck across the blue line and along the right-wing boards, then cut in across the bottom of the circle. His backhand shot handcuffed Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask and bounced inside the near post.

Kris Letang's blast from the left point gave the Penguins a power-play goal and a 2-0 lead at 15:12 of the second period. Paul Martin picked up his 150th career assist.

The Bruins cut it to 2-1 at 16:47 of the third period when Zdeno Chara, from the right point, one-timed a cross-ice pass from Dennis Seidenberg past goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury for a power-play goal.

Brad Marchand tied it, 2-2, for Boston just 12 seconds later after he controlled the puck in the crease, kicked it to his stick and tapped it past Fleury.

Former Penguin Mark Recchi scored on a rebound with 49.2 seconds left in regulation to give Boston a 3-2 lead.

The Penguins play Wednesday at Montreal.
