Penguins sign forward Steve MacIntyre to one-year contract

The Penguins tonight signed free agent Steve MacIntyre, 30, to a one-year, two-way contract worth $600,000 at the NHL level.
The 6-foot-5, 250-pound rugged forward has played in 78 NHL games -- 34 of them last season with Edmonton -- with two goals, four points and 157 penalty minutes. In 126 American Hockey League games, he has three goals, nine points and 506 penalty minutes.
