TAMPA, Fla. -- The Penguins have assigned left winger Eric Tangradi and defenseman Andrew Hutchinson to their farm team in Wilkes-Barre.
Tangradi, a rookie, had one goal and one assist in nine games, while Hutchinson had one assist in five games.
Those demotions leave the Penguins with 23 players on hand, although center Jordan Staal and winger Arron Asham are on injured-reserve and do not count against that total.
Asham is expected to be activated for the Penguins' game at Tampa Wednesday night.
Staal is recovering from an infected foot, and while no one has said when he is expected to make his 2010-11 debut, indications are that he should be able to play soon.
