BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Rookie goalie John Curry will make his first NHL start when the Penguins face Buffalo at HSBC Arena tonight.

Curry saw his first NHL action in relief of Dany Sabourin during the Penguins' 5-3 victory Wednesday on Long Island. He made 11 saves that night.

Curry was called up from the Penguins' farm team in Wilkes-Barre after Marc-Andre Fleury was injured in a game against the Sabres Nov. 15.

Forward Max Talbot, who left the Islanders game after being struck on the left foot by a shot, skated this morning and said he expects to play tonight.

Janne Pesonen, who was recalled from Wilkes-Barre when Talbot was injured, will be in the lineup tonight even though Talbot is scheduled to dress.

More details in tomorrow's Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
