Penguins recall Tangradi from Wheeling

The Penguins have recalled left winger Eric Tangradi from their ECHL affiliate in Wheeling, W.Va.

He is expected to be in the lineup for their regular-season opener against Philadelphia tonight at 7:08 at the Consol Energy Center.

Tangradi was assigned to the Nailers yesterday, at the same time the Penguins recalled goalie Patrick Killeen from Wheeling.

Those moves were completely unexpected, and have yet to be explained by team officials.
