Penguins' Malone out with leg infection

BOSTON -- Penguins left winger Ryan Malone is expected to miss at least two games because of an infection in his leg.
Malone sat out the Penguins' 4-0 loss in New York Tuesday because of a flu-like ailment, but was sent back to Pittsburgh today so that doctors could evaluate the infection, which apparently developed in a cut he received during a recent game.
He will not play when the Penguins face Boston tomorrow night at the TD Banknorth Garden and has been all but ruled out of a game against the New York Islanders Friday night at Mellon Arena.
Also, the Penguins are returning forward Connor James to their farm team in Wilkes-Barre and have summoned forward Jeff Taffe from the Baby Penguins.
