Penguins fill 2 front-office jobs

The Penguins have hired two former NHL players, Tom Fitzgerald and Jason Botterill, to fill vacancies in their front office.
Fitzgerald will be director of player development and Botterill will serve as director of hockey administration.
Fitzgerald played 17 seasons in the NHL, and it was his long-distance, third-period goal against Tom Barrasso in Game 7 of the 1996 Eastern Conference final that clinched Florida's upset of the Penguins. He will oversee Penguins' draft choices playing in college, junior hockey and Europe and also will work with the Penguins' American Hockey League affiliate in Wilkes-Barre.
Botterill spent parts of six seasons in the NHL and will monitor all aspects of the salary cap, work on salary arbitration and preparation and do some scouting.
