The Penguins' home winning streak came to an end in a 2-1 loss to the Anaheim Ducks tonight at Consol Energy Center.

They had won six games in a row in their building.

Evgeni Malkin's goal streak of eight home games in a row also came to an end.

Anaheim coach Bruce Boudreau, formerly of Washington, improved to 9-0-1 in Pittsburgh.

The Penguins took a 1-0 lead with the only goal of the first period. Pascal Dupuis stole the puck in his own end and chipped it up the boards, giving linemate Jordan Staal and Matt Cooke a two-on-one against Anaheim's Sheldon Brookbank. Staal beat Ducks goaltender Jonas Hiller high on the glove side at 6:27.

The Ducks tied it, 1-1, at 19:08 of the second period when Corey Perry weaved his way along the extended goal line toward the right goal post and swept the puck around goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury and into the far side of the net.

Anaheim got the go-ahead goal at 7:51 of the third period when Teemu Selanne guided a backhand shot between Fleury's right leg and the goal post to make it 2-1.

The Penguins next play Saturday afternoon at Philadelphia.
