Penguins' defenseman Despres onto IR; forward Jeffrey off

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Penguins have removed forward Dustin Jeffrey from the injured-reserve list and put defenseman Simon Despres on it.
Jeffrey has appeared in just six games this season while coming back from knee surgery last season, as well as some lingering effects of his operation.
He did not have a point in those games.
It was not immediately clear whether he will be in the lineup when the Penguin face Washington tonight at 7:38 at the Verizon Center.
Despres, a rookie, was injured during the first period of the Penguins' 5-1 loss to Ottawa at Consol Energy Center on Tuesday night.
