Penguins' Crosby does not practice

Penguins captain Sidney Crosby did not practice with the team today because of a bruised right foot he got Saturday night. He is considered day-to-day and is expected to play Wednesday night against Montreal.
"I just wanted to make sure I take care of the swelling," said Crosby, who watched most of practice from the Mellon Arena stands. "I don't think it would have been smart to skate today."
Crosby, last season's leading scorer and NHL MVP, took a shot off his foot during the Penguins' 5-4 win over Anaheim. X-rays showed no breaks. He remained in the game, but not at full throttle.
