The Penguins have recalled Chris Conner from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League
The speedy forward participated in the team's morning skate but is not expected to be in the lineup tonight against Boston at Consol Energy Center.
Coach Dan Bylsma said because a couple of players have been battling flu-like symptoms this week, the club wanted to add someone for insurance purposes, and he had been hearing glowing things about Conner's play in the AHL.
Conner, 26, was tied for second with the Baby Penguins with nine points, which includes three goals. He has played 79 NHL games.
Bylsma also confirmed that Brent Johnson will start in goal tonight.
