Penguins forward Craig Adams had a laproscopic appendectomy on Friday. His recovery is expected to take about four weeks, and he should be ready for the start of training camp next month.
Adams, who re-signed with the Penguins earlier this summer, spent most of the offseason in Pittsburgh. The surgery was performed locally by Dr. Jack McKeating.
