Pedestrian killed in North Belle Vernon accident is identified

A man killed Saturday night when he was struck by a car while walking along Interstate 70 in North Belle Vernon has been identified.
Shaun Janos, 27, of Smithton, was pronounced dead at 12:17 a.m. Sunday by Westmoreland County Deputy Coroner John Ackerman.
Police had difficulty identifying the victim because he had no identification documents on him.
Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call state police in Belle Vernon at 724-929-6262.
