And then there was one.

As expected, Penn State coach Joe Paterno said today that Daryll Clark will get the start at quarterback Saturday when the Nittany Lions open their non-conference season against Coastal Carolina at Beaver Stadium.

Clark, a senior who backed up Anthony Morelli the last two seasons, will make his first career start. He got the nod over Pat Devlin, a redshirt sophomore.

"We're going to start Clark and probably play Devlin some, for sure," Paterno said."Clark's had a little bit more experience. He's had a really good spring practice and preseason.

"I don't want [Clark] looking over his shoulder. I want him to go in there and play."

More details in tomorrow's Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
