A Carnegie man was sentenced to 5 to 10 years in prison this morning for throwing rocks at cars on the Parkway West over a two-year span.

Jeffrey Angelo Ramous, 50, pleaded no contest to 40 counts in February and was sentenced by Common Pleas Judge Edward J. Borkowski.

Mr. Ramous was arrested in March 2007 and charged with 10 counts each of aggravated assault, risking catastrophe, propulsion of missiles onto roadways and recklessly endangering another person. He admitted to police that he threw projectiles from the Norfolk Southern Railway trestle between the Green Tree and Carnegie exits onto the roadway about 100 times with the intention of causing accidents.
