The owner of a shuttered Station Square nightclub owes thousands of dollars for failing to pay its drink tax over 10 months, state police said today.
The troubled Zen Social Club operated under the corporate name Pittsburgh Generation X Association, which owes the Allegheny County treasurer's office more than $18,000 in outstanding taxes on drinks sold between October 2011 and Jan. 31, according to the state police bureau of liquor control enforcement.
Zen Social Club nightclub shut down in November after a shooting the month before left two people wounded and exposed safety hazards and other social ills.
