Montour Trail bridge construction to begin in Cecil

Construction is about to start on two new bridges on the Montour Trail in Cecil.
The bridges will span gaps in the trail at Morganza and Georgetown roads. A ground-breaking ceremony is scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday in a small township park on Oriole Drive, several hundred yards west of the Morganza Road intersection.
Beech Construction of Carnegie is the contractor on the $1.6 million project. Completion is scheduled for June.
