Bobbie Cegelski, the gifted services coordinator for the Montour School District, was chosen Monday night to fill a vacant seat on the Robinson board of commissioners.

Commissioners Samuel Abatta, Jesse Forquer and Earl Mapel voted 3-0 to appoint Ms. Cegelski, a Democrat, to finish the unexpired term of Republican Stephanie Triko, who resigned Jan. 23. Board member Ronald Shiwarski was absent but expressed his support in a letter.

Ms. Cegelski is a lifelong Robinson resident and serves as president of the Montour Education Association, Mr. Abatta said.

She was chosen from about a half-dozen applicants, township Manager Aaron Bibro said.
