Man injured by chainsaw

A 24-year-old man cutting brush at the former Iron City Brewery site was injured by a chainsaw this morning.
The man, who was part of a crew cleaning up the site, was struck in the face when the chainsaw kicked back at around 11:20 a.m., said Ronald Curry, district chief for city Emergency Medical Services.
The chainsaw left a half-inch deep laceration from above his eye to the corner of his mouth, Chief Curry said.
The man was transported to Allegheny General Hospital, where he was listed as stable.
