A Texas man was killed when a high-pressure hose valve burst and the hose struck his head, state police said.
Richard Tondreau, 37, of Crowley, Texas, was pronounced dead at the scene, the Helmerich & Payne drilling rig on Hopkins Run Road in Morris, by Greene County Coroner Greg Rohanna.
The flailing hose also knocked James Thrasher, 26, of Calhoun, La., off a ladder. Mr. Thrasher was hospitalized at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va.
