Malkin to sit out game due to injury

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Evgeni Malkin will sit out the Penguins' game against Columbus at Nationwide Arena tonight because of an unspecified injury.

Malkin participated in the team's game-day skate this morning and went through drills as a member of the second line, but had been held out of practice Friday.

Forward Max Talbot, who got a bruised left foot when he was struck by a shot during practice Friday, will play.
