WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Center Evgeni Malkin is not participating in the Penguins' game-day skate at the Verizon Center and is not expected to play when they face the Washington Capitals there at 7:08 tonight.
Malkin has missed three of the past four games because of a bruised right foot.
Washington, meanwhile, will be without center Brooks Laich, who received undisclosed facial injuries after being struck by a puck during practice Tuesday.
Laich had appeared in 257 consecutive games and has a six-game points streak.
More details in tomorrow's Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
