Light snow is expected to fall through the weekend before temperatures creep back up in time for President's Day, according to the National Weather Service.

The chance of precipitation in the Pittsburgh area will increase as the day goes on, with a 50 percent chance of snow by the evening, the Weather Service said. Temperatures are expected to hit a high of 30 degrees.

That precipitation should continue through Sunday morning, when up to an inch of new snow could accumulate, and temperatures dropping to a high of 24 degrees.

By Monday, the snow should turn to rain, as temperatures go up to a high of 43 degrees on the holiday.
