Jerry Sandusky's adopted son, Matt, claims he was a victim of abuse by his father, according to a statement from his lawyer, Andrew Shubin.

The statement said that during the trial Matt Sandusky, 33, contacted Shubin's law group and arranged a meeting with the prosecutors. Earlier today, NBC News reported that the prosecution planned to use Matt Sandusky as a witness if Jerry Sandusky took the stand.

Last week, Victim 4 testified that he was once in the showers with Matt Sandusky and Jerry Sandusky. When Mr. Sandusky began pumping and throwing soap, Victim 4 said, Matt Sandusky left the shower.

The statement did not detail the nature of the abuse.

Lawyers for Matt and Jerry Sandusky and prosecutors did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Matt Sandusky's lawyer says his client met with investigators very recently.
