Jeannette football star to play at Michigan State

Demetrious Cox, a highly-touted defensive back at Jeannette High School, has decided to play next season at Michigan State.

Cox, a senior, announced his college choice on KDKA Channel 2 television. His other three finalists were Penn State, Ohio State and Wisconsin. Cox will sign a letter of intent Wednesday with Michigan State.

Cox was a member of the Post-Gazette Fabulous 22 and a first-team all-state selection.
